Associate Professor, Dept. of Physics
Dr. Kamatam Hari Prasad is currently an Associate Professor of Physics at Aurora Deemed to be University in Hyderabad. Previously, he served as an Assistant and Associate Professor at the Institute of Aeronautical Engineering College (Autonomous), which is affiliated with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India, from 2017 to 2025.
He has a strong academic background, having earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Kakatiya University. He completed his M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Physics at Pondicherry Central University in Puducherry.
His research focuses on materials, specifically bulk and thin-film nanomaterials and nanocomposites. He has three utility Indian patent grants in the field of energy storage devices. He has authored a total of 51 publications in international journals indexed by SCI, Scopus, and Web of Science. Furthermore, he also authored one book on Applied Physics and two book chapters, demonstrating his proficiency and influence in disseminating knowledge within his field. He completed three AICTE sponsored research project grants. He secured Best researcher award and various international conferences first prize in oral and poster presentations.
His current research interests include smart and flexible electronics, nanofabrication, characterization of nanostructures, and various synthesis techniques for different dimensions of nanoparticles, nanofibers, and thin films, assembled into various shapes and sizes. He places a particular emphasis on the development of advanced materials for applications in energy storage, optoelectronic prototypes, gas sensors, photodetectors, and other interdisciplinary projects.
